I agree… People should at least go to the many animal shelters near them, and see how many great pets they have for adoption. It is so much prejudice that people won’t even look…

I adopted this kitten last week, he was very sick and had been terribly abused. Now he’s getting better and stronger by the day, but not only he was abandoned only one month after being born, he was also beaten up. 

I hear all the time people talking about how much they want a pet and planning going straight to petshops to acquire one and I wanted to state that going to an animal shelter is also a very viable option. They’re always filled with great pets who really need someone to take care of them. Most shelters operate with a limited number of animals they can take care of, so more adoptions means more rescued animals.
